Secret Santa donates to local organizations
SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A secret santa spread the spirit of giving throughout Southwest Miami-Dade.
Three Salvation Army kettles received donations totaling $1,000 after they received an anonymous phone call.
Kettles in Pinecrest, Brickell, and Miami Shores received $300 to $400 each/ The money wrapped with special messages.
"She felt that each person," said Linda Payton, "if they assisted in their own community, each community would benefit from people in it's own community helping."
Salvation Army representatives said they believe the woman donates any gift she can give each year.
This year, they said the donor dedicated her random act of kindness for the holidays to the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting.
