Fla. woman gets a wheel of misfortune

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A Florida woman received nothing but a wheel of "misfortune" on national television.
Renne Durette's mispronunciation to a Wheel of Fortune clue kept her from winning almost $4,000.
On Wednesday's airing of the game show, Durette confidently solved a puzzle based off the lyrics of the 12 days of Christmas carol saying, "Seven swans a-swimmin," leaving the "g" off of swimming.
The Wheel of fortune contestant said, "They have to protect against regional dialects, and so I should've been more straight-lined in my enunciation of the phrase." Durette added, "I still watch the show every night. I still love it, I still support it, it's been great, but I don't harbor any, you know. grudges."
Past contestants also chimed in on the argument, saying they are warned before the show to pronounce what's on the board exactly how it's seen.
Durette still got to keep the $8,000 she made from previous rounds.
