Locals and tourists enjoy Christmas S. Fla. style

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- While parts of the country are bundled up, it's all about a warm and wonderful holiday here in our back yard. And people are celebrating Christmas South Florida style!

No winter wonderland here, but that's exactly the way we love it. "We went to the beach this morning," said a visitor. "Then, we went to the pool, and now we're shopping."

The date is unmistakably clear, and the weather, unbelievably perfect. "With the sea, with the beach, everything. It's beautiful," said one woman.

Next to Miami's iconic image: the ocean, a few different accessories this Christmas day. "It's amazing," said one tourist. "We're originally from Eastern Europe. I'm from Macedonia, he's from Bulgaria, and this is what we were dreaming about."

And why not get out to the beach? It doesn't get more relaxing than this. Jack Perrets took to the links with his family because he can't play back home. "We have to wear jackets and sweatshirts in New York," said Perrets. "That's what I love about Florida."

As several parts of the country are either recovering or bracing for snow, it's no wonder South Florida is the envy of so many.
