Local bargain hunters out for Christmas deals

SUNRISE, Fla. (WSVN) -- It's that time of year again... Are you ready to shop till you drop?

Retailers say it's the biggest return day of the year, but they're doing everything they can to offset those returns with post-holiday discounts.

The Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise is filled with bargains, and retailers are hoping to woo shoppers in with those deals.

Retailers say the day after Christmas is on the top five days of the year for shopping.

This year, you can expect more after Christmas sales and even more merchandise.

Shopper Vasiliki Kiriakopoulos said, "He's returning some things that didn't fit properly and doing some shopping. My boyfriend came from Greece, so we gotta get some presents for the people over there, so I decided to wait for today since the sales were going to be amazing."

At the Sawgrass Mills Mall, everything inside Saks Fifth Avenue is 40 percent off, and you can also find tons of deals at Coach and Tory Burch. So, if your still thinking about coming out to use that giftcard, come on out, as the deals are pretty good.

How retailers will do financially will not be known until after the first of the year.
