Expensive beauty products allegedly stolen

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Thousands of dollars in expensive beauty products were taken from an import and distribution business in Southwest Miami-Dade County.
Claudia Gattoni, the owner of Keratin 4 U, discovered on Wednesday that the majority of her inventory was missing. "I didn't have insurance, and it's bad," Gattoni said.
The business is located on Southwest 142nd Avenue and 120th Street.
Sometime during the early hours of Monday morning, the alleged perpetrators smashed the alarm panel before it could go off. They made their way through the front office and into the warehouse area. They then opened the garage door and drove a truck or van inside the facility in order to load boxes upon boxes, some of them weighing up to 150 pounds.
Among the missing products are expensive flat hair irons and bottles of Brazilian keratin, a hair product used to control frizz and volume that is currently in demand. The total value of the stolen goods has an estimated street value of $200,000 and a wholesale value of $80,000.
Gattoni adds that since her business is the only distributor of Kerapremium and QOD, a Brazilian brand of keratin, the alleged robbers could still be caught.
"This is what I built for three years, and it's gone," she said.
If you have any information on this burglary, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
