MIAMI (WSVN) -- Detectives are investigating a fire that broke out at a South Florida business.

The blaze broke out just after 9:30 p.m. Thursday at the Magic Muffler shop on Sixth Avenue and Northeast 79th Street. 7News viewer Jerry Rosen sent in video of flames shooting from the building last night.

Smoke filled the sky as crews worked to put out the blaze. Authorities shutdown surrounding roads in the area while crews extinguished the flames. "Firefighters made an initial attack, and fortunately they were able to stop the fire. There were a series of scooters involved in the fire," said City of Miami Rescue Assistant Chief Joseph Zahralban. "But as you can see behind me they did an excellent job just before it attacked the muffler store itself because you can see all the flammable substances."

There is no word yet on what started the fire.
