Python causes panic at picnic
EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK, Fla. (WSVN) -- A panic broke out at a picnic when an uninvited guest slithered its way into a family's vacation plans.
Travelers from Arkansas were enjoying a little snack in the Everglades when they were interrupted by a 17-foot Burmese python.
Park rangers rushed in and shot the snake.
The growing python population has Florida Fish and Wildlife officials calling for an open hunt on the snakes next month.
