Dog dies in apartment fire

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A beloved pet wound up trapped by flames when a South Florida apartment caught fire, Friday morning.

The fire broke out on a second floor unit at a complex along Northwest Seventh Avenue and 42nd Court.

The flames spread quick, leaving a dog with no way out.

The residents were not home.
