Local Native American tribe celebrates culture
MIAMI (WSVN) -- A Native American tribe in South Florida showcased their creativity and art at their annual festival.
The Miccosukee tribe of indians hosted their 38th Annual Indian Arts Festival and hosting dozens of tribes throughout America.
People who attended the event got to see gator wrangling, hair beading, and other fun cultural activities. "It's an opportunity for folks not only to learn about Miccosukee," said Lee Tiger, "but tribes throughout the country that come together where you can discover native America here at the Miccosukee Indian Festival."
The arts festival continues until Jan. 1.
There's something for anyone attending including dancing, food, and storytellers all in the Native American tradition.
