FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The stretch of the A1A that took a beating during Hurricane Sandy will undergo repairs soon.

Florida Transportation officials said they plan to begin construction in the area mid to late January.

They will work seven days a week to shore up the road and restore the beach.

The $2 million project should take three to four months to complete.
