Thieves ransack, rob hardware store

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are searching for three thieves who ransacked and robbed a South Florida hardware store.
Surveillance cameras rolling inside the shop at Southwest 128th Street and 134th Court early Monday morning. The owner said a thief broke in through the air vents, then shimmied down a rope into the store.
That's when the crook let his accomplices through a side door. "Came in, opened one of the side doors, let two accomplices in and they took all the gear. In and out in less than three to four minutes," said store owner Luis Meurice. "Looks like they knew what they were doing--not their first rodeo."
The crooks took off with about 50 pieces of hardware, including lawnmowers, leaf-blowers and chainsaws.
If you have any information on this burglary, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
