Drunk driver slams into police cruiser

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Danger on duty for a Miami-Dade Police officer.

A car slammed into the police cruiser along US 1 and Southwest 17th Avenue.

He was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the other car was given a breathalyzer test on the scene before eventually being hauled to jail.

She was charged with driving under the influence.
