Four charged after boy injured by gunfire

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) -- Several suspects are facing charges after a little boy was injured when a gun was fired where he was sleeping.
Kamoy Sharpe, Samaro Spencer, Kenata Williams and Shanek Heron are all in bond court Thursday morning after, Broward Sheriff's Office said, 5-year-old Anthony Morris was seriously injured Wednesday Afternoon.
Shanek Heron, the little boy's aunt, has been charged with tampering with evidence. She briefly spoke with 7News before her arrest Wednesday night. "I thought it was fireworks, so I really didn't know. We just ran out," said Heron. "I just saw blood everywhere, so I just started panicking and went to the hospital."
Neighbors said they heard a gunshot and a woman scream at the Pembroke Park apartment on Southwest 41st Street.
The Sheriff's office said, Sharpe fired a handgun inside the apartment. The bullet flew through the wall and into the bedroom where Anthony was sleeping. According to detectives, he was hit with an unknown projectile and underwent surgery at Joe DiMaggio's Children's Hospital.
Deputies said, Sharpe, William, Heron and Spencer, then hid the handgun which detectives later found. All of them are now charged with tampering with evidence. Sharpe has also been charged with child neglect.
Anthony's aunt told 7News Wednesday night, "He's OK. He's breathing on his own."
The 5-year-old boy is in fair condition after undergoing surgery.
