Teen injured in shooting

COCONUT GROVE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Residents in a South Florida neighborhood woke up in fear after gunfire ripped through their community, leaving one person injured.

The shooting happened Monday night at Southwest 38th Street and Thomas Avenue. Rescue crews transported a wounded 19-year-old man to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Police said the subject fled in a white sport utility vehicle.
