Worker found dead under backhoe

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are investigating the death of a construction worker whose body was found under a backhoe in a rural area, Tuesday morning.

Both Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Police responded to the scene, late Tuesday morning, but the adult male was pronounced dead on site. He was found under the piece of equipment with no driver inside.

The incident occurred on a farm located on Southwest 153rd Street and 208th Avenue, far west of Krome Avenue, near Zoo Miami.

It remains unknown where the driver might be. Police are investigating and are conducting interviews on the scene.
