NEAR KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. (WSVN) -- To alleviate traffic congestion, officials have opened an additional lane on a bridge commuters use to and from Key Biscayne.
Miami-Dade County officials opened an additional lane for westbound traffic on the Bear Cut Bridge. The new lane is only open to cars and motorcycles.
The bridge was forced to shutdown all westbound lanes Friday due to concerns of the sturdiness of the bridge's structure.
Repairs could take up to a year.
