NORTH BAY VILLAGE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Surveillance video has been released of a sudden smash, which damaged a North Bay Village convenience store.
On Jan. 3, cameras captured a white car crashing through the Hess Express off 79th Street Causeway and Adventure Avenue. One shopper inside at the time with her 3-year-old daughter witnessed the accident. "We thought it was a bomb at first. My husband was screaming for me to grab her," said Stephanie DeMarco.
No serious injuries were reported.
The driver claims the floor mat caused the accelerator to get stuck.
