Woman dies in boating accident

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A day out for one South Florida family resulted in tragedy on the water.

Florida Fish and Wildlife crews are investigating what caused a boat to hit the McArthur Causeway bridge, Saturday afternoon, leaving one woman dead.

Rescue crews said Janette Africano appeared to have slammed the side of her head in the accident.

Crews tried to revive her before she died at Jackson Memorial's Ryder Trauma Center.
