Car ends up in water

WATSON ISLAND, Fla. (WSVN) -- The passengers of a Cadillac found themselves with a sinking feeling off Watson Island.

They were inside a black Escalade that wound up almost completely submerged in the ocean.

The incident happened after two people inside tried to pull their boat up on the ramp at Watson Island Marina after a day out of boating.

The SUV instead took a dip too. "Because of my experience," said a witness, "he backed up the trailer into the ramp, once you pass algae, it's like being on soap. He left the car there, sliding back in water and he tried to put it on drive but accidentally put it in reverse, and put it back into the water."

The passengers are OK and were not injured. A witness said the driver looked upset about his Escalade.
