Man shot after chasing robbers

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Bullets rang out at a hot dog stand in Miami Sunday, injuring a man trying to stop a crook.

The bullets hit a man trying to get his wife's stolen purse back from robbers.

The stand is located outside a car dealer, near 21st Street and 19th Avenue.

After struggling for some time, the robber shot the husband in the leg and then took off.

The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is expected to be OK.
