SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police said no one was injured when the owner of a local daycare accidentally drove right into her own business, Tuesday morning.

Fortunately, all nine children inside Ready for Preschool, located at 3015 SW 107 Ave., were in a back room playing when the woman's Jeep slammed into the daycare.

One daycare worker described the chaos after the crash. "I just wanted to get the kids out of there because there was a lot of smoke and a strong explosion," she said, speaking through a translator. "The only thing I could do was grab all of the children and escape through the other side."

Parents rushed to the scene to make sure their children were OK. "I just saw people running out of the school in panic mode," said Stephanie Perez, "and kids, bringing them to pharmacy."

Joanna, the daughter of the daycare's owner, described what may have caused the owner to drive into her daycare. "They told me that she was trying to park and somebody was beeping behind her, and she got nervous and instead of pushing the brake she just go inside," she said.

The owner was transported to a local hospital. She is expected to be OK.

Officials said the daycare was closed for the day. It has been boarded up, but the interior will have to be cleaned up before it can reopen.
