FPL warns customers about phone scam

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Some words of warning are going out from FPL to all its customers.

The utility said calls threatening to disconnect service unless payment is made are false.

FPL says the calls are coming from overseas, telling customers to pay their bills with prepaid MoneyPak cards.

If you receive a call, you are urged to call police.
