Marco Rubio pushes for immigration reform

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Senator Marco Rubio is pushing his plan to reform immigration.
Rubio is looking to give all undocumented immigrants an easier opportunity to stay legally.
Under his plan, they could simply pay a fine for not having documents, then go through an application process for permanent residency.
But political colleagues will not let it happen without a fight. "We need to accommodate kids," said Rubio, "who, through no fault of their own, find selves in legal limbo."
"I'm against amnesty," said Governor Rick Scott. "We need to make sure we don't provide amnesty. We need to make sure we pass the Arizona bill here in Florida."
After paying the fine, they would need to clear a background check for a work permit and pay back taxes before being eligible to apply for permanent residency and eventually citizenship.
