HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) -- A dramatic video could have been mistaken for a scene from a Hollywood action film, but it's certainly not a movie... It's real surveillance video.

The footage shows a real-life scenario that played out like a scene straight out of an action movie, complete with an unlikely hero and the good guys winning.

In the video, you can see two men putting on black ski masks, early Tuesday morning at South State Road Seven and 52nd Street.

In front of the store is Hasib Kuric, a homeless man who sees what is going on and is not content to keep quiet. He knows the store's clerk, Leo, and he's not about to let him become the victim of an armed robbery. "I see men, I jump back and say, 'Leo, he have gun, call police,'" said Kuric.

Kuric is seen on surveillance video tipping off his friend Leo, It gives Leo just enough time to grab a gun. Kuric then heads for the door, but by then, it's too late.

The first of the alleged thugs, a man police identify as Corey Miller, is already making his way inside. Kuric darts to the back of the store, as a gun is pointed right at him.

That's all of the surveillance video we can show you. What happens next, according to police, is a violent shootout, as bullets start flying from both sides.

In the end, Kuric and Leo are fine but Miller died at the scene. Police later caught up with Joshua Stuart, who remains behind bars.

Although Leo is the good guy in this attack, he is not rejoicing. Instead, he feels guilty he had to pull the trigger. "I feel sad because someone is dead," said Leo, from behind a door.

On the other hand, the clerk is thankful his friend was standing outside to give him just enough time to defend himself. "He saved my life," said Leo.

The business was back up and running the next day. The owner of the store at the Exxon gas station said his employee did the right thing by protecting himself.
