SWAT team called to home after shots were fired
HIALEAH, Fla. (WSVN) -- The SWAT team was called out to a South Florida home.
The SWAT team was called out to East 4th Avenue and East 18th Street in Hialeah after a man opened fire inside a home early Sunday morning.
Police said they are still unsure as to why the man fired the gun.
A witness said things got out of hand when the mother of the suspect's children came to pick up her kids. "After four hours she decided to call the police," said the shooters cousin, George Gonzalez, "and say that he was in there barricaded with a machine gun. Of course these guys are gonna come there and do their job, but it was just blown out of proportion "
The shooter was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
No one was hurt.
