Multi-million dollar construction along A1A

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- South Florida drivers should expect some traffic along parts of A1A this week.

The Florida Department of Transportation will begin installing reinforcements to repair the erosion damage left behind by hurricane Sandy.

Construction will be between Northeast 14th Court and Northeast 18th Street on Fort Lauderdale Beach.

The project is costing roughly $8 million.
