Man shot on bus bench hospitalized

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida man is recovering in the hospital after being shot while sitting on a bus bench.

The shooting happened at around 8:15 p.m. Thursday at Northwest 207th Street and Second Avenue. Rescue crews transported the 26-year-old man to Jackson Memorial Hospital with a wound to his shoulder.

Doctors said he is in condition is stable.

Police don't believe the man was being robbed and they said this did not begin as a dispute.
