MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (WSVN) -- A different mode of transportation took off on a South Florida runway. It's the worldwide unveiling of a new Lamborghini.

You would not be surprised to see dozens of Lamborghini vehicles lined up on Ocean Drive, but on Monday, something that was never seen before occurred. The new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster made it's world road premiere down Ocean Drive.

For the $445,000 starting price, the latest Lambo chose the Magic City to make raging bull history on Monday. "It's a fantastic city with an outstanding lifestyle," said Lamborghini President and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann. "It's one of our biggest sales part of the U.S."

Flashy and fast, the LP700-4 Roadster is best enjoyed when not stuck in traffic. "The top speed is 217," said Winkelmann. "But it's not so much about the top speed. It's about acceleration: in just three seconds from zero to 62, and the two main components are the carbon fiber monocoque, which makes the car very light and stiff, so it's very easy to drive, and then our outstanding engine, a V-12, 6.5 liter capacity engine."

Then it was time to take it out for a test drive. But where can a Lamborghini find a stretch of road in Miami to make the raging bull roar? Miami International Airport set the stage for some fast fun. "Currently, aircrafts take off at about a rate of 150 to 180 miles per hour," said Miami International Airport Department Deputy Director Ken Pyatt. "We expect that, during the high-speed run, that they're going to do about 200 miles per hour."

Lamborghini literally worked the runway, and the ladies loved it too. "A car with a hot man just looks awesome," said one woman. "I don't know. It's a turn on."
