Car dealership donates wheelchair to student

SUNRISE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida car dealership donated a generous gift to a teen.

The "You Buy A Ride, They Get A Ride" program at Sawgrass Ford in Sunrise offered a wheelchair with the works to Alex, a high school student with muscular dystrophy.

Alex said not only will his new wheelchair be sturdy and easier to operate, it'll also be stylish once it gets a Miami Heat makeover. "I think it's great. I'm thankful for it, and I think it's just amazing," said Alex.

Sawgrass Ford donated $16,000 for the wheelchair to the Darrell Gwynn Foundation.
