Teenage girl shot in arm after dispute

WEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida teen is recovering in the hospital after someone shot her in the arm.

The shooting happened just after 6 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators said a fight between a family in a car and a homeowner broke out near Northwest First Street and 76th Avenue.

Miami-Dade Police said, at some point, the 16-year-old girl in the car was shot and one person was taken into custody.

Rescue crews transported the teen to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
