2 men found shot to death inside car

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Miami Police are investigating a double murder where two men were shot and killed while sitting in a vehicle.

The shooting happened at about 1:10 a.m. Friday on 41st Street and Northwest 13th Avenue in Liberty City. Police arrived on the scene to find a dark-colored Buick LaCrosse riddled with bullets and two men shot to death inside. They also discovered a wounded dog, also struck in the gunfire. "The two men have been pronounced dead on the scene. The dog has been taken by Animal Services," said Miami Police Officer Kenia Reyes.

The dog had to be euthanized, officials said.

Officials towed away the vehicle with the unidentified bodies still inside. Betty Way, a neighbor who lives nearby, said one of the victims was a father. "He has a little boy over there, and my grandsons play with him everyday," she said.

Police are now asking for anyone with information on the shooting to come forward. "We can't stress enough, no matter how small your information is, it may be enormous to our detectives," said Reyes.
