5 hospitalized after inhaling chemical on air base

HOMESTEAD, Fla. (WSVN) -- Five people were transported to the hospital after inhaling chemical fumes while working on a jet at a South Florida air base.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to Homestead Air Reserve Base Friday afternoon after five people complained of chest pains.
According to officials, work was being done on a F-16 jet on the runway when they started to have trouble breathing.
Fire rescue treated the crew on the scene.
The five men are being transported to Homestead Hospital. They are in stable condition.
