Man shot dead; police search for 3 men
HIALEAH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are searching for three men after they shot and killed a man during a dispute outside a South Florida restaurant.
The shooting occurred outside the Restaurant Cafeteria in the area of 1300 East Fourth Avenue in Hialeah, just after 5 p.m.
According to police, a group of men were inside the restaurant and got into a dispute. The four men went outside and continued to argue. Soon after, shots were fired. "5:20 in the afternoon, rush hour, very busy street, people on the sidewalk, people driving," said Hialeah Police Carl Zogby. "What they saw was four men arguing in front for the cafeteria, they heard gun shots and they saw one man slipping away and ended up road side. He is dead."
A man was shot during the dispute. He was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he later died.
Police are now searching for three men who fled the scene in a white four-door vehicle. "We are looking for three guys. We are getting many descriptions and trying to confirm them all. We have two black males and one white male who fled the location, jumped into a white four-door vehicle and they disappeared," said Zogby. "We are looking for them. We know it wasn't a random act; we have that much so far. We think they are known to each other and it all started somehow in the cafeteria."
Police continue to investigate.
If you have any information on the three men, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
