Wynwood opens club for dogs and their owners

MIAMI (WSVN) -- From doggie yoga to doggie massage, a new facility in South Florida is offering everything you need to cater to your canine's deepest desires.

A new spot in Wynwood is not your typical dog groomers. The owners of D.O.G., Daycare, Obedience and Grooming, said that's by design. Florida's weather is just one of the reasons for the concept. "If it's not muggy and hot, it's raining, therefore we wanted the dogs to have a place where they can release all of their energy in an indoor facility," said a D.O.G. employee.

Whether you drop off your dog for a salon session or board your pet during a vacation, D.O.G is full service. "We have grooming, we have daycare, meaning the dogs come here and socialize," said an employee. "We do have obedience training, we do certify dogs for therapy."

D.O.G. screens new dogs to see if they are more social creatures or loners. The more solitary types will exercise on a treadmill, and the others will have plenty of playmates.

From yoga to doggie dentists, D.O.G is packed with amenities your four-legged friend will adore.

The doggie decor is up to make the clients feel safe and happy. "Our main goal is to make it like a country club for all our paying members, WI-FI and complimentary snack," said the employee.

They say another thing that sets them apart from others is they use holistic and organic products.

D.O.G is open seven days a week.
