Missing boys found safe and sound

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (WSVN) -- Two little boys who went missing while in the care of a babysitter on Monday are now back home with their mother, Tuesday.

North Miami Police found 3-year-old Ray Bonilla and big brother 5-year-old Darren Bonilla around 11:30 Tuesday morning after a huge search for the brothers ensued on Monday shortly after 5 p.m.

According to police, the boy's mother, Charmen Bonilla, went to run several errands and left her sons with a babysitter in their North Miami apartment, located off Northeast Seventh Avenue and 132nd Street.

The babysitter let the boys leave with a woman who claimed to be an acquaintance of the mother. "She told the babysitter, basically I need to take these children somewhere," said North Miami Police Detective Felix Guadarrama, "and before the babysitter could stop her, they were in the car and gone."

Police said that when they found the boys they seemed fine and didn't seem to think anything was wrong with the entire situation. Guadarrama said, "The investigation led us to a couple of addresses where she might be at and we were able to spot a couple of vehicles. Eventually one of the vehicles started moving. We were able to confirm that there was a female and children in the car. We stopped the vehicle, it was her, it was the kids. Everybody was detained and brought in here. The kids are perfectly fine."

Bonilla said she knew the woman who took the children and had identified her as, "Gloria"  also known as Jennifer Krasner. She was upset because I didn't want her to leave with the kids," Bonilla said, "So she decided to take off with them."

Once on the road with Ray and Darren, Krasner stayed on the phone with Bonilla, who tried to talk her into returning her children. "Me and her started arguing over the phone, she turned off the phone, so I called the cops," Bonilla said.

Krasner has not been charged at this time.

Police said they will be questioning Krasner as to why she took the boys and what she did with them after she took them.
