Man accused of attacking cab driver faces judge

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A customer accused of attacking and robbing a cab driver faced a judge, Wednesday.

Thirty-two-year-old Autuan Antonio Knowles was arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm and probation violation.

An acquaintance turned him in Tuesdsay.

Surveillance cameras captured Knowles lunging towards the driver last Friday.

Police said the driver picked him up from Plantation General Hospital when he threatened him with a gun, then ran off with a phone, GPS and cash.
