Family makes public plea to find hit and run driver

SUNRISE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A family made a public plea to find the driver who struck and killed their loved one.
John Quintal was hit while riding his bike along Sunset Strip and Northwest 62nd Terrace in Sunrise.
The 49-year-old was pronounced dead on scene.
Officials said the driver sped off. "He was killed Sunday by a hit and run driver who left him on the side of the road for dead," said ex-wife Tania Quintal. "He didn't deserve that. We deserve justice and the person that did this needs to be brought to justice."
Detectives found silver car parts and part of a headlight at the scene.
What's still unknown is the make or model of the vehicle.
