Miami officer relieved of duty

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A Miami police officer was relieved of duty in what has become the latest in a string of similar disciplinary actions, Wednesday.

7News has confirmed Miami Police Detective William A. Gonzalez is at home with pay pending the outcome of an open internal affairs investigation.

Circumstances surrounding the investigation into the eight-year veteran were not released.
