Police cruiser collides with school bus

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Authorities are investigating a collision involving a police cruiser and a school bus.

The accident happened Thursday morning at about 6 a.m. at the intersection of Southwest 152nd Street and 112th Avenue. A 7News viewer submitted a photo of the crash.

No students were on the bus at the time of the accident.

The officer quickly exited his vehicle to make sure no one was seriously injured. He was transported to a nearby hospital.

Both the officer and the bus driver are expected to be OK.
