Police chase ends with a crash

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have taken a subject into custody after he led them on a high-speed chase through Miami-Dade County.

It is unknown at this time why the subject was running from police officers, Thursday morning. But, authorities said the subject rammed a police cruiser in the area of 142 Avenue and Coral Way and then took off.

The driver then lost control and the chase came to an end after he crashed his car in the area of 142 Avenue and Southwest 44th Street.

The subject was quickly taken into custody and then transported to a local hospital with injuries.
