Peace march in honor of Trayvon Martin

NORTHEAST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Ives Estate Park is playing host to a "March for Peace" in honor of the late Trayvon Martin.
"At that walk, we want to make sure that the community knows you have the right to walk in peace, without anyone following you, without anyone harming you," said Martin's mother, Sybrina Fulton.
The march will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Martin's father is making sure his son is remembered in a positive light. "Would Trayvon want me to grieve or would Trayvon want me to make sure his legacy lived on," said Tracy Martin. "I think he would want us to make sure his legacy lived on."
The Miami Gardens teen was killed nearly a year ago while visiting his father in Sanford. He would have turned 18 this week.
George Zimmerman will stand trial for second-degree murder in June. The former neighborhood watchman claims he shot Martin in self-defense.
