Big names come to S. Fla. to celebrate Trayvon Martin

NORTHEAST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- In celebration of Trayvon Martin's 18th birthday, family and supporters rallied to remember the Sanford shooting that took his life.
Political activists Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are expected to attend a remembrance dinner at the DoubleTree Airport Hotel in Miami Sunday night.
Meanwhile, Saturday, hundreds of people got together for a walk held in the slain teen's honor.
Seventeen-year-old Trayvon Martin was shot and killed when walking to his father's home by George Zimmerman last year, in Sanford, Florida.
Zimmerman, who claims he shot in self-defense has been charged with second-degree murder.
