Corrections officer faces attempted murder charge

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A Miami-Dade corrections officer is accused of attempted second-degree murder and aggravated battery with a weapon.

Investigators said Officer Angeleatha Brazil Chestnut was arrested Friday. Chestnut was released Saturday morning on $20,000 bond.

The Miami-Dade Police Department is not commenting on this case.
