MIRAMAR, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida deputy's vehicle ripped off by a group posing as police has been recovered.

Authorities found the law enforcer's black Chevy Suburban abandoned in Miami-Dade County late Friday night.

Thirty-two-year-old Arthur Reeves, a Broward Sheriff's Office detention deputy, was driving on the Florida Turnpike in Miramar in the pre-dawn hours that same day when he was pulled over by a red Volvo with flashing police lights. According to authorities, two armed men got out and drove off with his sport utility vehicle.

Those thieves are still on the run.

If you have any information on these police imposters, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
