Police officer involved in bad crash

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Paramedics rushed a Miami-Dade Police officer to a local hospital after his cruiser collided with another vehicle, Tuesday morning.
The accident happened at the intersection of Northwest Second Avenue and 68th Street.
Police said the Miami-Dade officer was responding to call to stop a vehicle that was believed to be impersonating a police officer when he collided with a civilian's car.
The officer and the driver of the vehicle were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital. According to reports, the officer suffered injuries to his shoulder. The officer and the driver are both expected to be OK.
It is unknown at this time who is at fault for the crash.
Both the officer's cruiser and the other vehicle sustained major damage.
