Teen shot inside townhouse

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida teen was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after he was shot inside a Southwest Miami-Dade townhouse, Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called out at around 5 p.m. after shots were fired at a townhouse unit located on Southwest 99th Lane and 118th Court.
Officers said they found three juveniles and an adult inside the house. One of the teenagers appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds and was taken to Miami Children's Hospital in critical condition.
Police indicated that they are still conducting an investigation. "They're not ruling out anything, they're not ruling out an accident, they're not ruling out if there was any type of criminal activity involved," Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said. "It's way too soon because of the fact that they're still taking statements from everybody inside the house," he continued.
A woman who lives in the townhouse community where the shooting took place and asked to be identified as "Ana" said, "It's very sad for the family. I don't even know what happened to the boy. I'm hoping he's OK and that nothing strange happened to him."
Investigators were still trying to determine who was in the house, how they are related and what weapon was involved in the shooting.
