Fierce fire chars South Florida home

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Firefighters have put out a fire that tore through part of a home just before noon, Friday.

The blaze erupted inside one of the rooms at the home located at 20045 NW 66 Place.

Firefighters said the fire burned intensely and was fast-moving. The flames burned through the roof, charring the roof tiles. The fire has been put out, and luckily, no one was injured.

FPL has turned off power to the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
