Child hit by vehicle airlifted in unknown condition

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (WSVN) -- A child was struck in the street in Coconut Creek.

Witnesses said an SUV ran over a teenage boy on his bicycle.

The driver stayed and called 911.

The accident occurred at the Regency Lakes Community development along Regency Lakes Boulevard and 52nd Street.

A 7news viewer sent in this picture of an emergency helicopter on the scene.

The victim was airlifted to a trauma center in an unknown condition.
