Police search for local thieves

PALMETTO BAY, Fla. (WSVN) -- Miami-Dade homeowners were on high alert after their belongings were snatched in seconds.

Surveillance cameras in Palmetto Bay captured a young man stealing from a boat near Southwest 85th Avenue and 159th Street.

The crime happened early Saturday morning.

Neighbors said, this wasn't the first time they've struck.
