Driver loses control; crashes into home

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A vehicle collided into a Miami house.

A car carrying a woman and child punched a hole in the wall of a duplex on Northwest 40th Street and 12th Avenue. Police said it happened when the driver lost control. "I was on the computer, I heard some sound like a car crash, then a second later--boom, in the side of the building," said Wallace Glenn. "I ran to the door and the car had ran into the wall."

Rescue crews took the woman and her child to the hospital, but they are expected to be OK.

No one was hurt inside the home, but inspectors are still trying to figure out if the structure is safe to live in.
